I’ve spent more than 35 years working with people, leaders and businesses through executive recruitment, leadership, coaching and business mentoring.

But my experience hasn’t just come from advising from the sidelines.

I’ve been the senior leader and I’ve been the founder and business owner. I’ve built businesses, led teams, enjoyed significant success and experienced the setbacks that come with running a business too. I know what it feels like when things are flying, and I absolutely know what it feels like when they aren’t!

My career began in retail, where I held leadership roles across field and head office operations before moving into recruitment in 1991. Now in my fourth decade in recruitment, my experience spans executive search and senior-level headhunting, building and running recruitment businesses, and working in-house leading an international recruitment team. Along the way, I’ve worked with leaders and businesses across some of the UK’s best-known brands.

That combination means I’ve experienced business and leadership from multiple sides of the table: as a senior leader inside an organisation, an in-house recruitment leader, an external executive recruiter and headhunter, and a founder ultimately responsible for my own business, people, decisions and results.

I trained as an coach in Leadership mentoring and executive coaching in 2006 and today my work spans business mentoring, executive coaching, leadership coaching and career coaching. I work with senior professionals navigating change, leaders dealing with the realities of responsibility, and recruitment and other business owners who want an experienced outside perspective to help them think clearly, tackle difficult issues and make better decisions.

What connects all of my work is simple: people, business and making better decisions.

I bring commercial experience, straight-talking challenge and real-world perspective, - shaped by the highs, the setbacks and plenty of lessons learned along the way - to help people step back, see things more clearly and find their own way forward.
